Jewellery Club Overwhelmed by Donation

Local business, Durston Mills, donates £1800 of equipment to after school club

Durston Rolling Mills, based in High Wycombe, have donated £1800 of equipment including bench blocks, cupola sets, bangle mandrels, anticlastic formers, dapping sets, disc cutters and a rolling mill to the technology department of the Beaconsfield School.

Owners Matthew and Sara Durston, parents of a Year 7 student and themselves previous students of the school, said they were moved to make the donation when they heard about the newly-launched jewellery club, where pupils can design and make their own accessories.

Mr Durston said: "We found out that The Beaconsfield School were having a jewellery club and thought it would be good idea for Durstons to donate the equipment, as we are the only company in the UK making a large range of jewellery forming products.
