Living streets is an organisation that works to encourage people to be more active in their life by walking to school or to work.  Students were able to enter a competition if they walked to school or part walked to school over a set period of time.  Amy Hills from the Living Streets organisation came in to explain the health and environment benefits to Year 7 and Year 8 students and encourage them to take part.

Amy's assembly in January was inspirational and encourage a significant amount of students to take part in the competition.  During her follow up assembly on the 28th February all the students who took part were entered into a prize draw.  Georgia Rose from Year 8 had her name pulled out of the hat and won the £50 high street voucher.  More information can be found at the following website on the work of Living Streets - http://www.livingstreets.org.uk/
