BEST EVER A LEVEL RESULTS

BEST EVER A LEVEL RESULTS FOR THE SCHOOL

The staff and governors of the school are extremely proud of the A level and BTEC students who achieved the best ever post 16 results for the school.  The results are a reflection of their hard work, dedication and sheer determination to do well.

33% of ‘A’ level grades were an A*-B with 67% of all grades  ‘C’ grade or better. Across all the qualification students have excelled with 44% of all students gaining at least one A* / A grade or equivalent.   18% of students achieved A* / A / B grades across all of their subjects.

All of which are an improvement on last year’s results.  They are the best outcome the 6th Form has ever achieved and shows that the staff are determined to gaining the best possible qualifications for all our students.

There were many notable performance from individuals; a few highlights follow:   Hannah Hope  AAAB  in Sociology, Performing Arts and Psychology, Charlie McGuile  AAA in Media production and Music Production, Ben Shepherd AAB in Business, Geography and Biology, Natasha Hill  ABB Sociology, Psychology and Drama , Louise Dunn  A*AB in ICT, Forensic Science and History.  We are extremely proud of all the students in particular the students who have over coming challenging personal circumstances to gain excellent qualifications to help them onto the next stage in their lives.

The over whelming majority of students have gained the grades they need to go to their first choice universities and study subjects they wanted to study. They have secured places at Exeter, Liverpool, Loughborough and York to name a few of the institutions they will be attending.  We also have  students who will be going on to the join the armed services and the police.
