Year 7 student writes song for Christmas
Fynnjan Leach-Verhoeven, Year 7 - writes a song for Christmas
Fynnjan joined the school in September from Seer Green CE primary school and earlier in the year wrote a song entitled “The Spirit of Christmas” which he recorded with 30 classmates. Fynnjan has Asperger Syndrome which means, although he has above average intelligence, he takes things very literally and has sensory difficulties. Fynnjan is hoping his song will raise money for the National Autistic Society to be used to facilitate Special Education Needs Departments in schools throughout the UK. He also hopes to enter the record books by becoming the youngest person to write a UK chart number one single! His song will be available to pre-order on iTunes from 25 October, prior to its release into the UK charts on Monday, 9th December. You can hear a snippet and pre-order via www.fynnjan.com.
If you would like to hear more about the whole charity project, tune into the 'Saturday Live' Show (9am - 10.30am) on Radio 4 this Saturday 26 October!
We wish Fynnjan well and hope that as many people as possible support him in his endeavours.
