Under 13 Girls Win County Cup Football Final

Under 13 girls football team reap their reward after an excellent season

Under 13 Girls County Cup Football

The Beaconsfield School girls won the County Cup for the first time in the School’s history!

The following is a report from the two captains – Mollie Dench and Morgan Simpson-Goode:

“We were all very nervous to start as we did not know the opposition’s style of play.  We were up against Schenley Brook End School in Milton Keynes.  After the first five minutes we started to become confident but did not play as well as we knew we could.  At half time the score was 0-0 so we had a good team talk.  This talk did the trick as our performance of play in the second half was excellent and we knew we could get a goal.  As soon as the first goal was scored by Molly Slade, the tension rose as the other team really wanted a goal.  Then Molly Slade came again and scored a phenomenal goal.  The end result was 2-0 to us and we were all really happy that we got our award and a cup to keep at the school.”

The team consists of Leanne Adams, Kelsey Bushay, Ella Cotsford, Mollie Dench, Abbie Jennings (not in photograph), Sam McKenzie, Tayla Reay, Rose Shepherd, Morgan Simpson-Goode, Molly Slade, Chloe Smith and Alicia Stocke.

Well done girls - this is a fantastic result!
