Annual Fun Run

Beaconsfield School Annual Fun Run at Hall Barn Estate

Students ran in all types of costumes and outfits to run the 5km Beaconsfield annual fun run around the Hall Barn Estate.

The Beaconsfield School and Alfriston School joined forces on Friday, 28th March and about 1,000 students and teachers took part to raise funds.  Money raised by The Beaconsfield School will go towards replacing the stage in the main school hall.   Headteacher, John Fletcher said:  “We are very grateful to the owners of hall Barn Estate for allowing this spectacular event to take place on their beautiful estate.  It is also appreciated that many parents offered their time and support in marshalling the course and adding their encouragement to the runners.  We would also like to thank our PTFA members and Mr. Maddock, our Leader of PE, for their superb skills in organising the day”.

Dick Smith, the Town Crier, opened the event with the aid of James Walker and Lauren Brake (Head Boy and Head Girl).  Mr. Smith also assisted the Beaconsfield Mayor, Steve Jones in awardng the prizes for the fastest runners.  See our March newsletter for the results.
