2018 Results

Congratulations to all our students who have worked so hard for their results today. They are the culmination of two years of study showing determination to succeed. I would like to thank the students for all their hard work and the parents and carers who has supported them on the Sixth Form journey. I am very pleased to see that the overall pass rate has increased for our students allowing them to access university courses and high quality apprenticeship training in the local area and London.

  • 38% of the grades achieved across all subjects were A* / B with 20% at A*/A or equivalent.
  • 64% of grades were A*/C
  • 94% of grades were A*/E

This means our average grade for A levels remains at C-.

Our Level 3 BTEC results were excellent with the new on line exam element being including for the first time.

  • 43% of the grades were distinction* or distinction
  • 71% of the grades were distinction * / Merit
  • 93% of the grades were distinction* / Pass

Nationally results for BTEC’s have dropped by a significant margin and the highest grades have fallen the most. The average grade is down from a D* to a Merit.

There are too many excellent individual success stories to mention but a few deserve special mention who gained excellent outcomes in their A levels and Extend Project Qualification (EPQ):

  • Jake King AAAB
  • Arman Banger AACC
  • Bianca Short ABBB
  • Travis Emery ABBC
