House competitions form an important part of the school ethos to help to develop a sense of community and espirte de corps across the school. They are wide ranging and designed to be fun as well as help students develop skills that will help them be successful in life; teamwork, leadership and creativity for example.
Each competition has points allocated to them. The house winning will be awarded 10 points, second 7 and so on down to fifth place 1. Certain competitions will also have 1 point awarded for each entry or person taking part. Students can therefore make a difference through just taking part and being part of their house community.
Throughout the year attendance and achievement points will be in ongoing competitions. Every half term the house with the best attendance will be awarded 10 points , second 7 and so on. The same for the number of achievement points.
