PHSE in Sixth Form
Our Sixth form PSHE programme is designed to enhance and embed a positive attitude to studies and help students to become independent, self- motivated learners.
The programme also incorporates discussions and taught sessions about safe driving, radicalisation and the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Modules on academic writing, revision techniques and oracy are also included. Politics and current affairs are also incorporated in the programme, during mentor time.
Wellbeing is also included, with lessons designed to help students prepare for exams without unnecessary stress. Mindfulness is included in the PSHE programme.
This year all Sixth Formers will also take part in a Financial Capability Course, organised by Bucks County Council.
All Year 12 students are being offered the opportunity to take part in the Extended Project Qualification or to take a Level 2 certificate in Personal Finance – it is hoped that this will be enhanced next year, by us offering the Level 3 qualification (which will give students valuable personal finance skills and UCAS points).
Preparation for leaving school, with UCAS workshops and meetings with Aim Apprenticeship are also included.
