Thursday 15th August Press Release
A level and Level 3 BTEC results.
Congratulations to all our students who have worked so hard for their results today. They are the culmination of two years of study showing determination to succeed. I would like to thank the students for all their hard work and the parents and carers who have supported them on the Sixth Form journey. I am very pleased to see that over 60% of our students have secured places in their first or second preference universities or apprenticeship positions in the local area/London.
They are moving onto a wide variety of courses such as Anthropology, Forensic Science, Mathematics, Biology, Business, English Literature and Law.
Students also secured apprenticeships in accountancy and positions across a variety of industries including the public service within the Police service and the Army.
I wish all the students who are moving from us all the best for the future and hope that you keep in touch with the school.
Students on our vocational courses did particularly well this year;
64% of the grades at Distinction* or Distinction
91% of the grades at Distinction* / Merit
100% of the grades at Distinction* / Pass
As we look towards the new International Baccalaureate courses starting this year in the Sixth Form this is a very encourage set of results that will enable our new Sixth Formers to move forward with even greater confidence of a successful time at The Beaconsfield School.
