A weekly Maths Clinic is held in B12 after school every Monday (2:45 - 3:30pm) for students to receive one-to-one support on topics they have been struggling with, or just to get some extra help with homework etc.
The best way to make use of the drop in sessions is to come with something you have been working on but struggling with. You can get general support, but it is far better to come with something specific that we can work with you on one-to-one.
In Year 11, students have timetabled intervention sessions on a Wednesday where we work with small groups of students in order to help them achieve their potential in their GCSE exams. After school sessions also run on Tuesdays and Thursdays for selected groups of students. Support is available throughout all years, with small numbers of students being removed from the main lesson to work in a smaller group with a specialist Maths teacher in order to push them on from their current attainment. If you believe your son/daughter should be part of these target groups and currently isn't receiving any extra support, please contact Mr Tidswell.
